Is this a general electrical problem?

If you are having a general AC electrical issue, however, we recommend contacting a licensed local electrician immediately.

Our team can often offer remote assistance to talk you or a licensed electrician through the process of troubleshooting solar equipment and circuits. Often a simple fix and power-cycling your inverter will get it up and running again. That’s the beauty of solar electric systems!

Our service rates

Our service rates are $120/hr. for a licensed renewable technician (LRT) and $65/hr for an LRT apprentice. You will be billed after the system has been repaired via email link or snail mail, if preferred.

I understand that Service Work bills at a rate of $120/hr for any work done, including the time it takes to load the truck, drive to my site, and – if my repair requires parts – the time it takes to pick up parts. In some rare circumstances and if I require GPS confirmation of billable hours, Energy Design will bill for administrative time. Also, the day I request service will be used to determine service warranty eligibility, even if the warranty was applicable when the issue first occurred *

*Energy Design will let you know if your system is still within your labor warranty period. Please also note that system components such as your inverter and solar panels may have their own warranty from the manufacturer. Manufacturer warranties cover component replacement or repair only – NOT the labor necessary to troubleshoot or install the replacement equipment. Those warranty periods vary with the product and company.
