Limited Renewable Technician
Energy Design has one open position for a Limited Renewable Technician.
Pay: $45+ per hour, depending on experience.

The Role
As a Limited Renewable Technician, you will assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with Oregon requirements, site assessment and schematics. You will work as part of a team to safely and successfully complete residential solar installations while training (or being trained by) an LRT apprentice at your side.
We are seeking a talented, reliable individual who enjoys working as part of a team as a technician. You’ll be working with your hands, tools, and solar equipment. Construction, roofing, and electrical knowledge are crucial. You will show a willingness to work hard, flexibility, reliability, and a desire to work outside.
Requirements
- Must have valid Oregon LRT license
- Willing to work 40 hours per week based out of Eugene
- Must be comfortable working on a roof with various pitches
- Working at heights, including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitive duties such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently throughout assigned workday
- Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for installation
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment
- Valid Driver’s License
- General construction/framing experience is a plus
- Electrical knowledge is a plus
- Be able to pass a criminal background check
- Be able to wear a KN95 mask correctly (you know who you are)
