Incentives and Tax Credits
Each utility has a unique program blend of incentives available for home and business owners to help fund energy efficient and renewable energy installations. The most comprehensive list can be found at the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency.
The Federal Investment Tax Credit is set at 30% through the end of 2032. That means 30% of the eligible system cost will be available to you as a tax credit when filing for the year your solar electric system is installed. If you can not use the full 30% tax credit, it can carry forward.
