12.6kW Custom Ballasted Rooftop Solar Array
12,600W grid-tie system comprised of 84) Isofoton IF150 going back to 4) PVP PV2800. Once again, an innovative mounting design of our own invention. Located over a multi-million dollar gym floor on the student recreation center, the U of O was adamant about having no penetrations through the roofing. The bottom of the array is ballasted with concrete blocks. Six support beams are bolted onto the clear-story wall and run down the roof to support the racking system. This was a collaboration project with Solar Assist, our design work, both parties elbow grease.
